Topic: What lessons can we learn from these three trees?
Illustration: Three trees in the woods were talking, the first tree mentioned how he will be a great big box someday and will be used to carry jewelries and expensive stones. The second tree also told the other two trees that someday, he will be used to make a big ship, carrying kings and queens. The third tree also told the first two trees that someday he will be the tallest tree in the woods, and other trees in the woods will look up to him. After sometime, the lumberjack came and cut the three trees. The first tree who said he will be a great big box was made and put in a manger, he carried the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The second tree became the boat that carried the Lord Jesus Christ when He calmed the wind and the storm. And the third tree became the cross, where Jesus Christ was crucified to die for our sins.

We are like these three trees, we dream of something big for ourselves. It is normal for us humans to worry about our future, it is also normal that we desire of something we want to have or for us to desire to be someone we want to be. But most of the time, these so-called perfect plans will not go the way we have planned it to be. But if we let God use us, He can do mighty things using us.

Truth: In our Christian life, we do not always get what we desire or what we expect for ourselves to be. God has a better way to build us into becoming something useful.
