The “PAREL Family” as we are commonly known in our “circle of friends” especially at the largest Baptist church in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, Crossroads Baptist Church, where we are active members. From top left: John Kenneth, Liway, Jonathan, Jon Kristoffer, Justin Keith; Middle: Joshua, Katrina; Bottom: Keara Joy and Krisha Jane.
My name is Jonathan and I am the head of the Parel family. People close to me call me “Jombet.” I am a System & Web Developer by profession [see my portfolio] and I am the owner and administrator of this website. Currently, I am working as a Data Center Field Engineer for Skillhandz providing “remote and smart hands” to companies like Microsoft, Sony Playstation, Dimension Data, Airtel, Spark Centric, China Telcom, Cyxtera, Belcom 24/7, M24/7 and many others.
Before I came to Japan in 2015, I was the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees and assistant pianist at Crossroads Baptist Church. In 2010 I was appointed by our Pastor/Principal Dr. Eddie Galyean, to be the school administrator of Crossroads Baptist Academy for the school year 2010-2011. I have a passion for Bible sharing and teaching the doctrines of the Bible. My favorite verse is Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;”
With me in the picture is my better half for more than 24 years now. She is Liway. Our children fondly call her “madam” as derived from how her clients call her whenever they see her. Having completed full certification as a Professional Caregiver she chose rather start and manage her own Vehicle Insurance & Registration Services business that caters to private individuals, organizations and corporations in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. She is well-loved and favored by her patronizers because of her friendly and honest dealings and sincere desire to assist people even without compensation.
Every Saturday she would go to some places and would gather children and young people to teach them about the Bible and God’s saving grace. She would visit the sick and just be a blessing and encouragement to people. Because of her ability to manage and take care of the children she was appointed as the church’s Nursery Department Head until she came to join me here in Japan.
